LORD’S PASSION AND DEATH

Today marks the day of the Lord’s passion and death. The day commemorates the death of Jesus Christ.
On this day there is no Eucharist (also called breaking of bread, Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion), but what there is is action Liturgica after noon to commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

PASION Y MUERDE DEL SEÑOR – VIERNES SANTO

Hoy se conmemora el dia de pasion y muerte del Señor. Conmemora el dia de la muerte de Jesucristo.
En este dia no existe la celebracion eucaristica( tambien llamado fraccionamiento del pan,cena del Señor o Santa Cena) sino lo que hay es la accion liturgica despues del medio dia para conmemorar la pasion y la muerte de Jesucristo.

Cristo aparece como el Siervo de Dios, que fue anunciado por los profetas, quien se sacrifica por la salvacion del mundo, el cordero que se sacrifica por nuestros pecados y para nuestra absolucion.

Este viernes santo dia del sacrificio que hizo que Dios entregara a su unigenito hijo, para limpiar nuestros pecados, los pecados el mundo, que lo entrego para que pudieramos salvarnos, no es un dia de llanto, de tristeza, sino de gozo contemplacion del sacrificio redentor del cual llego nuestra salvacion, la salvacion humana.

Cristo vencio, no fue vencido, vencio ante la muerte, vencio ante quienes lo humillaron, vencio ante quienes quisieron que renegara de su padre, vencio, es quien consuma su ofrenda, nos libera y nos reconcilia para nuestra salvacion.

En este dia se lee la Pasion segun San juan.
En varias partes del mundo se realiza el llamado rezo del Via
cruces, que es el camino de la cruz, donde se sigue las catorce estaciones, recordando los pasos de Jesus camino a su muerte.

Tambien se da en este dia el ayuno y sino tambien el no comer carnes rojas, la abstinencia se realiza pq la carne roja implicaria comer la carne de cristo.
Las procesiones de la Pasion de Cristo se llevan a traves de todo el mundo.
Hombres cargan la cruz, y en algunos casos como en Filipinas se flagelan con latigos, sintiendo en su cuerpo lo que sintio Cristo, la cruz es el trono de gloria e instrumento de victoria, es el elememto que domina toda la celebracion iluminada por la luz de la resurrecion, se presenta para la adoracion de los fieles.

En algunas pequeñas ciudades de Filipinas tb hay hombres que se entregan para ser crucificados tal cual lo fue nuestro Señor para sentir en carne propia el dolor y la salvacion que el sintio.
