FARRAH FAWCETT AN ANGEL OF CHARLIE’S ANGELS HAS GONE

090625183818_sp_farrah_ap_283Farrah Fawcett’s death brought me to mind my childhood days in which a Sunday afternoon anxiously waiting for the moment that start Charlie’s Angels.
The year was 1976 and lasted until 1981, tells the story of three women (angels) who left the police force to work in the detective agency owned by Charles Townsend (Charlie).

Still remember those calls that Charlie did to his angels , and that aroused the curiosity never see Charlie.
Each chapter began with the same phrase: “There were once three girls who went to the police academy. Missions assigned to them very dangerous. But I anything away and now work for me. My name is Charlie. ”
Then we learned that Charlie’s voice to the great actor John Forsythe, who became famous with the series Dynasty.

The series began its first year with three players: Kate Jackson as Sabrina Duncan, Farrah Fawcett-Majors as Jill Munroe, and Jaclyn Smith as Kelly Garrett.
Farrah Fawcett only engaged in the first season of Charlie’s Angels but his characters remain frozen in the memory of all, it came to be the girl in the shampoo in the United States, with its attractive image of sex symbol, her long hair to frame a new fashion and a new era in hairstyles, shortly all wanted hair that was spent on advertising to come into this series of Charlie’s Angels, which were executive producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg.

In 2000, was filmed the movie version with performances by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
In which they are hired by Vivian Wood to find his partner Eric Knox, creator of the “Technology Knox”, who was kidnapped as a video. Then they discovered that they used them to find and Charlie end for reasons of revenge and the angels must be avoided.
In 2003, recording a sequel to that first film under the name Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, where the former Charlie’s Angel, Jaclyn Smith makes a small stake.

The serie Charlie’s Angels, has become a pop culture icon, a series of worship, and the image of the actresses has played in all kinds of merchandising, magazines, comics, etc..

My biggest memory of that was when they left wrist, god, I still remember my despair and not having come to my country, a few days out to remember a friend of the United States brought dolls, they imagine a tantrum girl started so my mother went to an importer and the request and finally I had my dolls of Charlie’s Angels, had the characters of Sabrina Duncan, Jill Munroe, Kelly and Garret, and although it may seem incredible, even after almost 30 years I have now brought me many memories with the death of Farrah Fawcett and out of the trunk of memories and I put on my light desk. They are just in the same way as when they were bought came with street clothes but also with party dresses and the hair of Farrah Fawcett equitable to give real pleasure to play with her hair comb.
For many and many of us has a unique time.

Farrah Fawcett, was primarily a television actress in film incursions not generated a good response, I take part in Saturn 3, Stanley Donen, with Kirk Douglas and other films that passed into oblivion.
But her foray into television series and television continued to generate success and remained popular.
For me two of his best performances that saw were: Nazi Hunter: The Beate Klarsfeld Story (1986), Somebody Killed Her Husband (1978).
Married to Lee Majors, who took the name when it had to do later chapters 6 to withdraw from Charlie’s Angels due to a legal problem, during the years 1973 and 1982.
1245948496_extras_ladillos_1_0After their divorce she met the actor Ryan O’Neal in 1979, the actor from “Love Story”, which also marks an epoch and other movies, his love story had many ups and downs, never married and were to be done now because of the Fawcett Farraw severity, but did not give them time.
The actor himself in 2001 was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006 which was sent from that time along with Farrah Fawcett have been campaigning against the fight of cancer.
Although when she was sick they were separated, he was always at his side and returned to join for that reason, have a child in common Redmond actually 24 years old, who is arrested for a legal drug.

1245948496_extras_ladillos_2_0Her last actuation was her own life in a documentary call “A wink and a prayer” where she show her won fight against cancer with treatment in United States and Germany.

According to the actor’s own words: “It’s a love story. But I do not know how to act on this. I do not want to know this world without it”
Ryan O’Neil, partner Fawcett

  1. Great post. Like you, memories of my childhood watching Charlie’s Angels came flooding back to me too. I was remembering the Charlie’s Angels dolls that were the coveted toy for girls this side of the Atlantic, an ocean away from Hollywood glamour. We never missed an episode of Charlie’s Angels and the debates in the school yard would be on which angel was the most beautiful, Jill Monroe, Sabrina Duncan or Kelly Garrett. It was all so impossibly glamorous in the dull days of our Irish childhood.
